Winner's bag: See clubs Harris English used to capture fifth TOUR victory at Farmers Insurance Open

Harris English captured his fifth career victory and first since 2021 and as a father at the Farmers Insurance Open. Battling tough conditions at Torrey Pines, English triumphed by one over Sam Stevens with a final-round 73.

A subtle change at the start of the week in California made all the difference for English, whose last victory came at the Travelers Championship four years ago.

English decided to change the grips on his clubs, putting a new model of Golf Pride’s MCC Align grips in the bag. The version of the grips is yet to be announced, but they feature the Align technology which sees a pronounced raised ridge on the underside of the grip. The ridge serves as an aid to assist a player with creating a consistent hand placement and heightened clubface awareness to help with a square clubface both at address and impact.

The new grips helped English combine a strong ball-striking week (fourth in Strokes Gained: Approach) with his always elite putting that he’s well known for. English, who was the 16th best putter on TOUR in each of the last two seasons, used the same unique Ping putter that he won with at the 2013 World Wide Technology Championship. English started using the Ping Scottsdale HoHum putter during his senior year at the University of Georgia.
