MEXICO CITY, Mexico – The top three players in the Fortinet Cup standings through Week 3—also the first three winners of the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas season—missed the cut at the Diners Club Peru Open. The field took notice and proceeded to close the gap over the weekend. The most significant moves came from tournament winner Hunter Wolcott and runner-up David Perkins, who climbed into the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

Tied for 86th with just 18 points after missing the cut in two of the first three events, Wolcott surged 84 spots into fourth place on the Fortinet Cup standings. With 518 points, he now trails Tour leader Ryan Grider by only 68.

“There’s still a goal down here in Latin America before we go to Canada. They give out (two Korn Ferry Tour) cards for the top (two) players down here. I’m going to get ready for Mexico City and try to finish these next two weeks strong—maybe I’ll see myself at the top of the Latin Swing,” said the 27-year-old Wolcott, referring to the opportunity to earn 2026 Korn Ferry Tour conditional status this early in the year.

The consistent Perkins, who double-bogeyed 17 and then bogeyed 18 to lose by two shots at Los Inkas Golf Club, moved up 10 spots into fifth place. He’s just 68 points behind Wolcott and 136 behind Grider.

Here’s a look at the top 10 players in the Fortinet Cup standings through four events in the 16-tournament season:

    1. Ryan Grider – 586 pts

A tough opening round of 77 left him out of contention in Peru, where he missed his first cut of the season. He remains the Fortinet Cup leader by a slim three-point margin.

    2. Jay Card III – 583 pts

Like Grider, he struggled in the opening round in Peru, carding a 76 that hampered his chances of reaching the weekend.

    3. Maxwell Moldovan – 573 pts

He shot rounds of 70–73 to finish 1-under, missing the cut by one shot.

    4. Hunter Wolcott – 518 pts

Carrying the burden of becoming the first PGA TOUR Americas player to receive a one-shot penalty for slow play late on Friday, he stayed composed over the final two rounds. While birdieing five of the last nine holes Sunday, he capitalized down the stretch to win the Diners Club Peru Open.

    5. David Perkins – 450 pts

In control for 16 holes on Sunday, Perkins endured a heartbreaking finish to let the title slip away. Still, the 300 points he earned for finishing runner-up helped him climb 10 spots in the standings. While recording four top 20s in as many starts, he has become the player with the most birdies (78) on Tour.

    6. Ricardo Celia – 402 pts

Despite not feeling at his best, Celia showed his game is trending well. After struggling in the second and third rounds, he rebounded with a 6-under 66 on Sunday to tie for 16th and record his fourth consecutive top-20 finish.

    7. Joey Vrzich – 372 pts

After opening with a 67 in Peru, he spoke candidly about his ongoing swing struggles: “My feel is gone… I hope I can figure out my swing.” Despite that, he has made three cuts, finishing T3 in Argentina, T14 in Brazil, and T33 in Peru.

    8. Michael Brennan – 371 pts

Brennan recorded his third top-10 finish of the season with a T10 in Peru. His 68.07 scoring average is powered by a Tour-high 13 rounds in the 60s (out of 15 rounds played).

    9. Brett White – 326 pts

White has been consistent with finishes of T4 (Brazil), T9 (Ecuador), and T3 (Peru), posting a Tour-best scoring average of 67.73 among players with at least two starts. At 4-over par through nine holes Thursday in Peru, he battled to follow an opening 73 with rounds of 68-66-65 to move inside the Fortinet Cup top 10.

    10. Jake Staiano – 316 pts

Coming off a T2 finish in Ecuador, Staiano shot 9-under to tie for 22nd in Peru. He leads the Tour in total eagles (6) and ranks among the top 10 in total birdies (65).
